Community Campaign

Save Darlo Early Learning at 277 Bourke Street

Goodstart Early Learning has told us the centre will close on 27 November - without any consultation with families or educators. 60 local childcare places are now at risk, and we're calling on Goodstart and the City of Sydney to keep this essential service open, regardless of who runs the centre.

The Current Situation

What is happening?

The early learning centre at 277 Bourke Street is more than just a building; it's a vital community hub providing 60 high-quality childcare places in Darlinghurst. A proposed closure has put these places at risk, threatening to leave local families without essential support. Most neighboring centres are already at capacity, meaning there is nowhere else for our children to go.

Our Mission

The closure of our beloved centre at 277 Bourke Street isn't just about a building, it's about the 60 local families who rely on this community hub every single day. With surrounding centres already at capacity, losing these places would leave Darlinghurst parents with nowhere to go and our dedicated educators without a home.
